Music Foundations

Ages 6-9

12 Weekly 60 minute sessions with optional 30 minute private lesson add-on

Music Foundations is our flagship program that covers all the bases for our newest musicians. In this 12 week program our students will go from never having played an instrument to performing in front of their friends and families. The first few sessions are geared towards general music concepts. We use tools like body percussion, bucket drums, singing/chanting, ukulele and musical games to learn about rhythm, harmony, melody and dynamics.

In the later sessions we focus on instrument specific instruction and prepare for the performance. Each student will have a chance to get hands on with ukulele, guitar, bass, keyboard and of course the drum set. At the end of the season each student will pick their primary instrument, and will be graduated into one of our performance ensembles.

Pricing discount if combined with a weekly private lesson.

Ensemble

Ages 9 - 17

12 Weekly 90 minute sessions with mandatory 45 minute private lesson

Ready to join a band and hit the stage? In our Ensemble program we organize students into groups based on age, instrument and ability. Each group is based around a theme (ie Classic Rock, Blues, Funk, Jam Band, Folk, etc…) From there we rehearse the selected pieces of music on a weekly basis. At the end of the season we put on a public performance at a local venue for friends, family and our community.

In our ensembles students will learn to be self sufficient and responsible for learning their parts. They will build camaraderie and learn to be team players and overall good bandmates. Everyone will have the freedom to express themselves through improvisation, stage plots and developing their own musical styles.

Sheet music will be provided for all parts, and students will use their private lesson time to go over any questions they may have on a given song or section.

If you’re ready to groove, funk or rock out then our ensemble program is perfect for you!
